Rage Against The Machine are to be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame for 2023.
First, pioneer of their own eccentric brand of music, combining hardcore rap verses with funky heavy rock riffs and drums. Secondly, they are an outspoken supporter of the underclasses and a permanent opponent of unjust practices. Put those two together, and you have a band unlike any other that continues to strive to make a difference all these years later.
With their four classic albums under their belt and having sold out shows across the globe as part of their recent comeback tour, there couldn’t be a better time to celebrate all that they have done and share their legacy with the world.
The other inductees to this year’s Hall of Fame include Kate Bush, Sheryl Crow, George Michael, Willie Nelson and more. The event will take place on November 03 at the Barclays Centre in Brooklyn. Actual performances are yet to be announced.
John Sykes, Chairman of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Foundation, had this to say about this year’s selection:
“This year’s incredible group of Inductees reflects the diverse artists and sounds that define rock & roll. We are honored that this November’s Induction Ceremony in New York will coincide with two milestones in music culture; the 90th birthday of Willie Nelson and the 50th Anniversary of the birth of Hip Hop.”
