Kicking into high gear during the pandemic, Pinkshift has taken tremendous strides forward as a unit with the release of their debut full-length album, Love Me Forever. Now, ahead of their forthcoming tour alongside Origami Angel and Sweet Pill, Pinkshift has launched into a softer, grungier side with “to me.”

Produced by Will Yip, whom the band worked with on their debut LP, “to me” is a slowed-down love song with high peaks of grunge-soaked instrumentation. Showcasing the group’s more vulnerable side, “to me” also marks their first love song.

“Love is a powerful form of energy that is not just given or taken, but flows endlessly and connects us all,” vocalist Ashrita Kumar shares. “‘to me’ speaks to the indestructibility of such an energy, and what it feels like to hold love close to your heart and with those around you. It is a realization that despite everything that is difficult, to be truly loved is to love ourselves.”
