Pierce The Veil Drops “12 Fractures” Video With chloe moriondo

Pierce The Veil 12 Fractures 2023

Pierce The Veil’s latest record, The Jaws Of Life, was one of the most anticipated records of 2023. Marking the end of the band’s 7-year hiatus and their first release since 2016’s Misadventures, the album is full of dynamic twists and turns that leave fans craving more. Pierce The Veil is back with a new music video for the album’s closing track, “12 Fractures,”  featuring chloe moriondo.

Showcasing the delicate vocal stylings of up-and-comer chloe moriondo, the video follows her and PTV’s frontman Vic Fuentes on a slow-motion walk through crowded city streets. Resembling a montage pulled from a romantic comedy, the two singers run towards each other while serenading against the backdrop of the track’s gentle arrangement. When their gazing eyes finally meet, however, blood starts streaming down Fuentes’ face, and the pair both plummet to the concrete. The final shot reveals that the artists stabbed one another, in a tragic and darkly romanticized conclusion.

The dramatic end to the video is reminiscent of Pierce The Veil’s earlier music videos, including “Yeah Boy And Doll Face” and “King For A Day.” Their love for horror and psychological themes is a throughline of every release and continues to solidify Pierce The Veil as a standout band in the alternative world. While it is jaw-dropping, to say the least, the ending shot acts as a metaphor for the pain that love can cause.

Teasing the release yesterday on Instagram, the artists posted a chilling, collaborative image on the social media platform. Looking deadpan into the camera, both Fuentes and moriondo are caught holding bloody knives and exposing their gnarly stab wounds from the video. The expressions on their faces are haunting and expressionless, giving viewers a sneak peek as to what to expect from the video.

To continue celebrating the release of The Jaws Of Life, Pierce The Veil is gearing up for a headlining tour this fall with L.S. Dunes, Dayseeker, and Destroy Boys. Kicking things off November 4 in Sacramento, CA, and ending December 8 in their hometown of San Diego, CA, the run will take the band across the country to perform a longer set of songs. They are also hitting some smaller markets on the tour, including Myrtle Beach, SC and Macon, GA.

After the North American run, the band is headed across the pond to share the live experience with their UK fans. Check out their upcoming tour dates below and make sure you snag tickets before they’re gone!
