Pendulum Paint A Vibrant Picture With New Track “Colourfast”

Pendulum have returned with a new track called “Colourfast”, and it rolls back the years in a big way. A central cog in the early 00s drum and bass rise, it was when they decided to combine the decks with heavy rock elements that things truly took off. 2008’s In Silico and 2010’s Immersion perfected the blend and took them into arenas and beyond. Making their return after a lengthy hiatus in 2020, they have recently been getting back to what they do best. From headlining the iconic Alexandra Palace in London to collaborating with Bullet For My Valentine’s Matt Tuck, they are back to full speed in a big way. And “Colourfast” feels like a solidification of all that they have been striving for.

Bringing together the tranquil builds of liquid drum and bass with triumphant horns and throbbing bass, it’s an incredible piece of gripping production from the band. Leaping between textures like it’s second nature before delivering killer blows by the time the chorus bleeds in, it’s a masterful display from a band that is always one step ahead. Gorgeously ethereal and brilliantly energetic, it represents the past, present and future of Pendulum perfectly and will have dancefloors buckling all over the globe.
