The Dangerous Summer are celebrating a year of their album Coming Home with Pat Miranda and Max Bemis. But more on that shortly, let’s talk about the album first.
An ethereal, rousing, beautifully affecting collection of songs about seeing the world but always knowing that there is love for you when you get back. It is truly a wonderful addition to the band’s discography. Over the last few years, they have gone through as many lows as highs. But they have always come back to music, and the power of it, as the thing that keeps them going. That’s always been The Dangerous Summer way, and it will be until the end of time.
The celebration of this special record comes in the form of a deluxe edition. It features two new versions of two of the album’s highlights. One of them is the legendary Max Bemis of Say Anything. He guests on “All I Ever Wanted Was A Chance To Know Myself“. And the other is Movements’ Pat Miranda who lends his vocal talents to the title track “Coming Home“. And let’s just say that both are magnificent. Max’s earnest and emotional tones add so much added vigor to his track, taking it to an astonishing new place. Whilst Pat puts all his has into his guest spot, perfectly blending with vocalist AJ Perdomo who pushes himself to the limit. Both are a celebration of The Dangerous Summer as much as the icons joining up with them.

AJ was incredibly excited to have both artists be a part of the project, stating, “Working with Pat and Max is a dream come true, and it really spans time and space. I grew up listening to Say Anything, and it was an honor that Max would even consider being on the track. He is a genius, and when I heard what he wrote the track, it blew my mind.
“Then you have Pat, who is blowing up, I think Movements brought a really fresh breath into the scene, and carved their own world. So it was cool of Pat to pour himself out onto ‘Coming Home‘. He is such a good singer, a professional, and a great writer. Truly humbling, and exciting to collaborate more, one thing I don’t think rock music does enough of.”
And Patrick had this to say about himself, “I was super excited when The Dangerous Summer reached out to have me on a song. They’ve solidified themselves over the years as being one of those bands who consistently puts out really good stuff, and it was an honor to be asked to collaborate!
“I spoke with AJ about these lyrics prior to writing my part so I could get a better understanding of the song and really make my part feel like it was meant for the track. I found AJ’s lyricism super inspiring, and coming up with my additions was a breeze.”
