Of Mice & Men Hold Their Hands Out For A “Castaway”

Of Mice & Men recently announced the details of their brand-new full-length album. Set for release on October 6 via Sharptone Records, Tether is the follow-up to 2021’s expansive Echo. Admitting that they focused more on how something felt rather than how it felt, it’s destined to be an emotive and enriching release from one of the scene’s most celebrated bands. Kicking off the adventure with “Warpaint” last month, they have now added to the repertoire with a new track.

That track is “Castaway” and showcases the more ethereal side of the band’s sound. Towering atmospheres, crushing intent and some of the most gorgeous melodies you will ever hear, it’s a new benchmark for the band in terms of heights they can reach. Serving as a connector between ourselves and those who may be drifting away from us, it’s a familiar hand through the fog. A lighthouse on the shore. A reason for us to hold on and make it through the storm.

Of Mice & Men expanded on the point of the track by stating, “‘Castaway’ is about longing for connection with the people in our lives who tend to distance themselves when dealing with hardships, and how our inability to help them often feels like we’re frozen in time.”

Of Mice & Men are going to be hitting the road and making their way around the US as support for Bullet For My Valentine. The tour will run throughout October into November, and you can catch it on these dates.
