NOFX Drops “I’m A Rat” Music Video, Announces ‘Half Album’

Marking the beginning of their end, NOFX has dropped a new song and music video for their track, “I’m A Rat.” Taking advantage of Mickey Mouse entering the public domain in 2024, the legendary punk band had “Steamboat Fatty” embrace his kinky side and be incredibly self-indulgent with cheese. (Who of us hasn’t wanted to go ham on some cheese?)

“I am a rat/And I don’t wanna hear your sermon/I am a vermin/And I’m always gonna gnaw on things/
I know will aggravate you,” Fat Mike sings. Check out the parody music video for “I’m A Rat” below.

The song is set to appear on NOFX‘s forthcoming five-track Half Album, which arrives on April 19 and can be pre-ordered here.

“Was it worth it? Was it worth spending five years finishing the five songs on my double album project that I thought were the worst of the bunch?” Fat Mike asks.

He continues, “Was it a good idea to spend so much time raising the runts of the litter? Was it an error in judgment when I wrote a song about the magnitude of my arrogance? I think the answers to all these rhetorical questions might be found by listening to this half-sided album….. but I seriously doubt it.”

Half Album Tracklist:

1. Fake-A-Wish Foundation
2. I’m a Rat
3. The Queen Is Dead
4. The Humblest Man in the World
5. The Last Drag
