UK rockers Neck Deep are getting us ready for their upcoming tour, with their new single “We Need More Bricks.” The track is will appear on their upcoming self-titled album, set to drop via Hopeless Records. One of the things that stands out in their new music is the message of fighting for what is right.

Singer Ben Barlow says that the new song is the best the band has been, political-wise, “touching on everything from the monarchy, immigration, protest laws, and international wars. We find ourselves at a cross-section in the zeitgeist where bricks could be used to build something or to be destructive.” Living through historical events, people are using their voices and platforms in a constructive way to tell the story of others, as well as how they are processing these actions.

“The kids are wide awake/and they rage against the palace,” punches in the chorus to stand out as a statement that people are ready to fight against what doesn’t benefit the world. Barlow says he wants this song to have the listener think about their place in the world, to speak up and take action against injustice. He shares, “I’m calling on punks and those that want to make a difference.

Neck Deep’s self-titled album comes out on January 19, 2024 and will be on the road in the new year with Bearings, Drain, Higher Power, and Knuckle Puck. They’ll also make a stop in Las Vegas, NV to play When We Were Young Fest. To see them in your city, grab tickets here.
