Following the release of summer’s “Sunshine,” which was co-written with MGK, MOD SUN is back with his new song, “Hotel Lights.”
Prior to its release, MOD SUN took to Instagram to share, “Been trying to make a song like this my whole career. Sonically, it’s beautiful. Lyrically, it’s storytelling. Vocally, it’s powerful + delicate. Love is like a drvg…I’m falling for you + it’s a long way down.”
Interestingly, many people connected with the song upon its release. MOD SUN shared a social media post detailing, “I’ve had 4 ex girlfriends hit me about my song coming out tonight saying they know it’s about them… I think I have a type.”
The euphoria-inducing, bittersweet love song showcases the artist’s powerful indie-rock vocals as he recounts falling deeply in love. “I know I won’t be the last/The last to love you,” he sings.
