After kicking off their So Much For (Tour) Dust in late June and issuing an updated version of Billy Joel’s 1989 classic “We Didn’t Start The Fire,” Fall Out Boy shows no signs of slowing down this year. Their recent show in Chula Vista, CA on July 1 proved to be an unforgettable night for fans, featuring a series of iconic covers that left the crowd in awe.

Among the highlights of the evening were Fall Out Boy‘s stunning renditions of timeless classics. The band fearlessly took on Prince‘s “Nothing Compares 2 U,” originally made famous by Sinead O’Connor before diving into a crowd-pleasing rendition of Journey‘s beloved anthem, “Don’t Stop Believin’” and Ozzy Osbourne’s iconic “Crazy Train.”

The four-piece smashed through their 26-song set before arriving at their encore track, “Saturday,” pulled from the band’s debut album, Take This To Your Grave. As their encore began,  a surprise guest took the stage to join the lineup. To the sheer delight of fans, My Chemical Romance‘s very own Mikey Fuckin Way emerged on bass, ready to take over for Fall Out Boy‘s bassist, Pete Wentz. The energy in the stadium skyrocketed as Way seamlessly integrated into the band, adding his own flair to the performance. With Wentz stepping up to the mic alongside vocalist Patrick Stump, the chemistry between the musicians was undeniable and sent shockwaves across the stadium.
