Magnolia Park‘s second performance at When We Were Young Fest 2023 became an unforgettable highlight when they welcomed pop-punkers Arrows In Action to the stage for a sensational cover of Fall Out Boy‘s 2005 classic “Sugar, We’re Goin Down.” The moment was nothing short of a sonic journey, taking the audience on a nostalgia-fueled ride back to the mid-aughts when the original song became an anthem for the emo/scene generation. Any elder emos in the house?

As the two bands merged their talents on the Ghost Stage, the energy in the crowd reached a fever pitch. With impeccable harmonies and a seamless blend of pop-punk prowess, they paid homage to Fall Out Boy while infusing the song with their own unique flair. It was a performance that bridged generations, uniting fans, both young and old, in a shared love for this timeless track.

If you weren’t able to catch Magnolia Park’s set at When We Were Young Fest today, idobi Radio has got you! Check out Mag Park and Arrows In Action’s cover of “Sugar, We’re Goin Down” below.

More on Magnolia Park

Magnolia Park have been working to keep their title as the busiest band in pop-punk this year. In the last 12 months, they have released their full-length debut album, Baku’s Revenge, two EPs in the form of MoonEater and SoulEater, and teased their second Halloween mixtape. Solidifying their place within the genre, harnessing their sound but also pushing into new pastures, the band really has seen and done it all.

The band will also be completing their current headline tour this coming week. Support is coming from TX2, 408, and poptropicaslutz!, which is one of the best line-ups of the year! Here’s where you can catch them.
