Magnolia Park has officially set our world in motion as they just announced a collaboration with Disney for the A Whole New Sound pop-punk album. The cover track is scheduled to arrive this Friday, July 26.
The teaser, which features a car stereo tuning into guitarist/backing vocalist Tristan Torres’ iPhone at full volume, instantly hooks listeners with vocalist Joshua Roberts’ undeniable prowess as he screams the opening lines of “I2I” from the 1995 classic A Goofy Movie. As both a Disney fan and a Magnolia Park fan, we could not think of a more perfect cover for the Florida group to tackle in collaboration with Goofy and the gang!
Taking on a classic Disney Channel line, Torres commented on the teaser, “Hi we are Magnolia Park and you are watching Disney Channel.”
Magnolia Park’s cover of “I2I” will mark the second preview of A Whole New Sound, which features the recently released “Can You Feel The Love Tonight” cover courtesy of pop-punk legends Simple Plan. Yesterday, Simple Plan released the official accompanying video for their cover of “Can You Feel The Love Tonight,” which you can check out below.
Magnolia Park is currently on the idobi Radio Summer School Tour with Stand Atlantic, The Home Team, Scene Queen, Honey Revenge, and Letdown. You can check out their full touring schedule below and grab tickets to catch them at the Summer School Tour here.
