Machine Gun Kelly Set To Release Hometown Performance in Theatres

Machine Gun Kelly Spring 2023

Our big question at the moment is…does Machine Gun Kelly (Colson Baker) ever rest? In 2022, following the release of his Gold-certified album mainstream sellout, Machine Gun Kelly embarked on the massive 52-show North American and European headline tour.

The Cleveland native wrapped his Mainstream Sellout Tour with a hometown performance at FirstEnergy Stadium, which is also home to the NFL’s Cleveland Browns. Now, the genre-fluid artist has announced the details for his next venture. For one day only, on May 13, Kells will unleash ‘Machine Gun Kelly: Mainstream Sellout Live from Cleveland: The Pink Era’ exclusively in theatres across the globe via Trafalgar Releasing. Directed by Sam Cahill, who also directed Hulu‘s ‘Life in Pink,’ the film is the first full-length feature from the recently launched multimedia and music imprint Floor 13.

While this moment is monumental for MGK, the upcoming theatrical release will also showcase him as the only Ohio native artist to sell out Cleveland’s largest venue, which holds 50,000 fans. In the trailer for the release, you can hear him ponder, “Do you ever have one of those nights that you never wanted to end? Well for me, this was definitely one of those nights.” Check out the full trailer for ‘Machine Gun Kelly: Mainstream Sellout Live from Cleveland: The Pink Era’ below.

In a press release, Kymberli Frueh, SVP of Programming and Content Acquisitions for Trafalgar Releasing shared, “Machine Gun Kelly’s remarkable journey from Cleveland to meteoric superstardom and back to where it all began gives us an unfiltered look at the emotion and rawness of coming home. We are so lucky that this moment was captured so it can be shared with fans across the globe.”

During his sold-out Cleveland performance, Machine Gun Kelly performed a whopping 34 songs that included “bloody valentine,” “emo girl” with WILLOW joining him on stage, “I Think I’m OKAY,” and a cover of blink-182’s “All the Small Things” with Travis Barker.
