Lambrini Girls are set to release their debut EP, You’re Welcome next month, and they are racing towards it at some serious pace. They have shared a new track from it, and it’s a takedown of toxic masculine culture in the most catchy and caustic way.
It’s called “Lads Lads Lads” and is a break-neck battering of everything that makes the modern caricature of British men such a stain on society. Not holding back in their summation of things, it’s a gritty and grand piece of punk-rock brutality that will have you laughing as you headbang.
The band had this to say about it all:
“In order to be a lad, make sure to follow the following guidelines: excessive drinking, harassing anyone with a pulse and starting fights. Most importantly, make sure to never talk about your feelings as this simply cannot be associated with manliness. Lad culture is the shit stain on the bathroom floor and toxic masculinity is the toilet paper that refuses to unstick from the shoe of society. Nobody wins.”
You’re Welcome will be released on May 19th via Big Scary Monsters.
It will also feature “White Van”:
And “Help Me, I’m Gay”:
