During her Video Vanguard Award acceptance speech, Perry shared, “Thank you to MySpace, Warped Tour, and all the bygone places where I found a voice identity, and community so early on. Thank you to my friends who go when my Jetta was repossessed, my Katycats who do, too, and my LGBTQ community, who I recognize I would not be here without, who showed me that you can be both kind and snatched.”
Based on reports from Rock Feed, multiple unidentified resources have claimed that Vans Warped Tour is coming back in 2025 after officially ending its coast-to-coast traveling show in 2018. While founder Kevin Lyman is reportedly involved, the Rock Feed noted that Live Nation will be running the festival. This caused many fans to worry about possible ticket prices.
As of now, the official Vans Warped Tour camp and/or Live Nation has not substantiated the story. Though, many popular outlets, including Forbes, have shared the original Rock Feed story.
Perry was on the 2008 Vans Warped Tour lineup, playing the Hurley.com stage alongside 3OH!3, Anberlin, and more. Per Katy Perry Wiki, she played a six-song set, which included “I Kissed A Girl,” “Hot N Cold,” and more.
