Inbox Jukebox Presents: Weathers’ New Single “Rehab”

Hot damn, Weathers didn’t have to go so hard on their new track but you’ll be so glad they did. Today’s Inbox Jukebox Presents is their new song “Rehab” and it’s a dark & fiery anthem about trying to break free from a bad love.

“The song ‘rehab’ is about toxic relationships, and those can feel like an addictive drug,” frontman Cameron Boyer says. The song reflects that seductive theme—from the moment the staccato guitar riffs start you’ll be pulled all the way in—as Weathers sings about twisted matters of the heart. It’s a blow-by-blow account of those times when you get too wrapped up in a negative relationship you don’t know if you’ll ever get out of. “You try to get rid of them, but they’re hard to resist when they crawl back into your life.”

As the song’s message seeps into your skin, you’ll feel the anxiety laced throughout the beat. It’ll get your heart pounding and trying to escape from your chest. And when that chorus hits you for the first time, you’ll be powerless against Boyer’s irresistible vocals.

“Recording ‘rehab’ was actually pretty difficult. The song had to hit a certain way sonically. We had a specific vision in mind but getting it there was a challenge,” Boyer says. “All and all, there’s over 10 different versions of the song stored away. We feel this version is the one that made the most sense.”

And they nailed it—“Rehab” is completely enthralling; you won’t be able to stop hitting repeat as Weathers sing the searing truth of just how dark romance can get…

Fun fact about Weathers:

“Fun Fact: The guitar player and I met when we were teenagers in a battle of the bands. We were in different bands at the time.  Neither one of our bands won.”
–Cameron Boyer
