“‘Bedsheets’ tells a story. It’s is about a very specific point in time and feeling. Although there was discomfort and hurt within that moment in time, I was able to reflect on it and capture the beauty and bittersweet experience ultimately translating those feelings into a song. Bedsheets is very dear to my heart,” Olivia says of the song. “Bedsheets” bottles up that feeling of heartbreak and transforms it into a gorgeous acoustic-led ballad that’ll hit you deep in your chest. “It feels like a weight off my shoulders finally being able to share this song with the world!”

The track is stripped bare to allow the emotions to rise to the surface, underscored by a simple acoustic guitar melody and a soft pop beat that’ll wrap itself around the shape of your heart. It feels raw and intimate, set right in the moment when everything seems lost. “‘Bedsheets’ came together spontaneously one night in the studio with AJ Healey. We had just finished up a previous song and were about to call it a day. I picked up the guitar and started casually playing an idea which ended up turning into a full song that night. We recorded a demo of ‘Bedsheets’ that same night and the original vocal take from the demo was kept and used in the final record!”

“This is actually my favourite song I’ve written to date! Fun fact about the recording process – we recorded me stomping with a foot tambourine in the chorus’. I love how we play with genre in this song. It feels pop but could also be a folk ballad!”
