Don’t feel like going out this weekend and just want a relaxing night in? In Her Own Words and Young Culture have you covered by throwing their own “House Party” in their latest collab and music video.
The track follows In Her Own Words’ previous releases of the summer, “Beg For More” and “Story Of Us.” Leading up to the release, the band dropped various teasers, even asking if they would attend a party hosted by the two bands saying, “If @youngcultureny and us threw a House Party would u come yes or no??”
Dedicated to those who would rather enjoy a chill evening at home than go out to party, the track begins with a soft guitar riff before breaking into an upbeat chorus. Featuring a kicking guitar solo from Andretti Almalel, the song finished off with an explosion of heavy riffs.
“‘House Party’ is a fun, bouncy song about wanting to stay in and have fun at home while everyone else is out partying, but with an unexpected twist at the end,” vocalist Joey Flemings shares.
Directed by J.T. Ibanez, the accompanying music video is exactly what it sounds like. Starting as a chill evening, the party progresses to an all-out rager as the rest of Young Culture and the group’s friends join the fun. Flemings’ partner Scene Queen also makes an appearance at the party and provides a voiceover for a couple of calls made to him.

Showing her support for Flemings on X, Scene Queen shares, “Fun fact about the new @InHerOwnWords @YoungCultureNY song dropping tonight I had only met Alex Magnan one time before they wrote it but got a drunk FaceTime from him and Joey saying my voice is perfect for the drunk party girl voicemail they needed for the song and as embarrassing as that is they were correct.”
