In Her Own Words have dropped their new single, “I Think It’s Time,” in addition to announcing their forthcoming EP, Left In The Dark. The 7-track collection, which will arrive via Thriller Records on November 15, will feature the group’s latest single as well as the previous releases “Beg For More,” “Story Of Us,” and “House Party.”

The band shares, “‘I Think It’s Time’ is a song that explores the enduring presence of someone after a breakup and the journey to find strength to move on, no matter the cost.”

Anchored by frontman Joey Fleming’s soaring delivery, which pulses like a steady heartbeat across the track, the upbeat instrumentation sharply contrasts with the all-too-familiar emotions of watching an important relationship crumble. The chorus jumpstarts the track’s energy, as Fleming sings, “I’m counting cracks across the ceiling/I couldn’t be the one that you needed/But now I’m stuck on a feeling/For a second there you made me believe it.” before reaching the heartbreaking realization: “I think it’s time I let you go.” Check out “I Think It’s Time” below.

Discussing the EP’s arrival, the band shares on their social media platforms, “It’s been a long road getting to a place where we can record and release music again and the response has been overwhelming! These songs are something we are really proud of and even through all the anxiety of releasing music just the 2 of us, you all have made it worth all the struggle…We love you all.”
