On the heels of their debut album, Retrovision, due via Thriller Records on June 23, alt-rockers Honey Revenge have released their unapologetically confident new track, “Worst Apology.”

The new single, which is the fifth preview of their debut, opens with a captivating guitar riff backed by a driving drumbeat creating a sense of urgency. The track culminates the driving rhythms of pop-punk with the emotive melodies of alt-rock, creating a unique and energetic sound that matches the raw emotion of the lyrics. Vocalist Devin Papadol’s powerful notes hit a climatic peak at the track’s chorus, belting out, “Don’t care what you think of me/I wish that you wouldn’t/Wouldn’t wouldn’t wouldn’t/The world’s worst apology,” conveying a sense of frustration and anger that is palpable across the track.

“I have a tendency to forgive people no matter the circumstance,” Papadol shares exclusively with idobi. “Writing ‘Worst Apology’ was a breaking point for me. Someone I cared for really hurt me and couldn’t recognize their wrongs in the situation. It wasn’t the first time but I made sure it was the last. If you don’t want people to know about the bad things you’ve done, maybe don’t do them. This song is about standing up for yourself and not taking half-assed apologies.”
