Hawthorne Heights’ hearts aren’t always in Ohio. The emo act announced the Behind The Tears Tour to celebrate 20 years of their first album, The Silence In Black And White. Tickets go on sale on Friday, February 9 at 10 AM local time.
The spring run isn’t going to be the usual show set-up, though. Instead of the loud reverb of electric guitars, it’s getting traded in for a subdued acoustic tone. The flyer for it says it’ll be “An emotional musical journey designed to peel back the years and tears.” Their first LP, which boasts their single, “Niki FM,” and their wildly popular track, “Ohio Is For Lovers,” was released in 2004. While the band is still creating new music, the nostalgia of the rawness and impact of Silence in the scene is undeniable.

Fans can expect “stripped down arrangements, telling intimate, tear-inducing stories, and analyzing the last 20 years of the landmark album that changed our lives.” They’ll also make an appearance at When We Were Young Fest in October to perform the iconic album, too.
