If you’re not in Las Vegas right now, you are really missing out on some major musical milestones. Ahead of headlining When We Were Young Fest, Green Day played their brand-new song “The American Dream Is Killing Me” and revealed a forthcoming 2024 tour at their intimate club show.
This wasn’t the only bright spot for the lucky fans who snagged a ticket to the 800-capacity Fremont Country Club show on October 19, as the band also played Dookie from beginning to end. Basically, this is the best way to celebrate the LP’s forthcoming 30th anniversary.
In a recent Instagram post, the band says, “Holy shittttttt We just played Dookie in full, thank you for that Las Vegas AND our new single “The American Dream Is Killing Me” comes out October 24th! Set those wake up calls, ya hear?? They say what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas, but couldn’t let this stay… get ready ya zombies!!!”

Shortly before performing the new song, Billie Joe Armstrong confirmed to the audience that Green Day is doing a massive tour in 2024. Additionally, The Smashing Pumpkins, Rancid, and The Linda Lindas will be joining them on the summer stadium tour. Basically, Green Day is giving us the heads up to get financially ready for the emo Eras Tour before the official dates drop.
We are setting our alarms for October 24, and getting ready to see more clips from Green Day‘s WWWYF set. Our fingers are crossed that tour dates will also drop this upcoming week, too. Check out the full setlist from the trio’s intimate club show below.
