Ghost Atlas, aka Jesse Cash of ERRA notoriety, is back with a “Seeker (Stretch The Night)” music video. This single was preceded by his November-released “Lesser Gods.” He shared this song in tandem with the announcement of a forthcoming sophomore record.
Listeners came to love Cash‘s solo project with the release of his 2017 full-length album, All Is In Sync, And There’s Nothing Left To Sing About. The artist shared on Instagram, “I haven’t released a full-length album as Ghost Atlas since, which is nuts. But, I wrote and recorded a new one, and it’s about time to hand it over to you.”
Now, fans can hear the new Ghost Atlas beginning January 26 upon the release of Dust Of The Human Shape out via UNFD. Pre-orders are available here. “‘Seeker (Stretch the Night)’ is arranged in a way that is less conventional structurally, and more of [a] foundation to tell a story,” Cash says of the new track.

He continues, “It started with the opening chord progression having been originally written on guitar in DADGAD open tuning. I was playing around with the idea of transferring the chords to piano and liked the idea of having the song just be those chords for the entire duration. I felt that the chord progression was interesting enough and having it continue altering slightly for several bars left a lot of room for vocal variation to prevent the flow from becoming stagnant.”
Cash notes that he “liked that my only means of keeping a sense of dynamic throughout was to rely upon the production layering and fluctuating intensity in the vocals. The song is constantly weaving in and out of tension and release until the end when it finally opens up into a full band performance.”
