Geek Girl Riot Presents: Girl Pow-R’s Charming New Song “Friends Click”

Who run the world? Soon, the leading ladies in Girl Pow-R. Today’s Geek Girl Riot Presents is bringing you the girl group’s brand new song “Friends Click” which is a tale of friendship and empowerment set to a sugar-sweet melody.

Adding a fresh spin on Pitch Perfect’s “Cups” (you’re sold already, aren’t you?), “Friends Click” sets the tone with a catchy pop beat. “‘Friends Click’ is about that one person who enters your life that you just ‘click’ with!” the girls say.

“‘Friends Click’ is a new anthem about best friends and the strength of friendship.”

When the group begins to sing about supporting and celebrating each other—BFFs who have become sisters—it’ll make you smile. “We all have that one friendship that straight off the bat it’s like you’ve known them forever! It’s a unique relationship that ends up lasting for a lifetime.”

The Toronto-based girl group are earning a name for themselves—some of them aren’t even in their teens yet—seriously, at their age we could barely make cereal let alone be named Global Ambassadors of the 2018 Toronto Youth Day. Hit play on Girl Pow-R’s new track below and we’ll leave you with their sweet message about best friends:

“They are the people you can turn to when you are down but also the ones that you can laugh with about the silliest things. We wanted to show our gratitude towards all of our friends and this is exactly what the song is!”

Fun fact about “Friends Click”:

“We have been getting questions on why we have a chair in our cover art and what it means. We were inspired by the ‘Cup Song’ and added our own twist to it!”
