FELICITY is in their “Lovesick Blues” era across their shimmering new single. Their latest offering marks the group’s second release of the year following the success of their collaborative track, “Charlie Sheen,” alongside Point North’s Jon Lundin in February.

“‘Lovesick Blues’ is one of our favorite songs we’ve written,” the band shares in a press release. “We feel like it’s one of those timeless songs accessible to all generations. Many of our songs are geared toward a specific demographic. Our heavier songs might be for metal heads or a pop-punk anthem for the Warped Tour purist, but with ‘Lovesick Blues,’ we feel like it could be played on the radio, in a department store, or sung in the shower.”

They continue, “We’re so proud of it! We’ve never written a love song before, so this was entirely new. We have songs that are inspired by relationships, but if you want to be a real band, then you gotta have a classic love song, so we’re happy we hit this milestone!”

“Lovesick Blues” gleams, glistens, and twinkles through a series of infectious instrumentation. Even more infectious than the synth-driven instrumentation is the sing-at-the-top-of-your-lungs chorus that references several well known love songs: “I’m holding on to you/Baby twenty one pilots style/Just to be with you I would walk 500 miles/We didn’t make it through in this semi-charmed kind of life/I’m singing Lovesick Blues till I get over you.” This track unveils an entirely new and softer side of FELICITY. The result? A gripping and impassioned pop ballad that allows the band to wear their hearts on their sleeves and captivates listeners with its relatable vulnerability.

FELICITY is scheduled to perform in Chicago, IL this weekend on May 18 before appearing at the forthcoming So What?! Music Festival in June. You can purchase tickets to either of their upcoming performances here.

Performance Dates:

  • May 18—Chicago, IL @ Cobra Lounge
  • June 2—Fort Worth, TX @ So What?! Music Festival
