Fall Out Boy and Just Dance. A match that you never thought you would see? Maybe. A match that makes total sense? Absolutely. Fall Out Boy, one of the biggest bands in the world. Still filling arenas and releasing music that pushes them forward whilst paying homage to where they have been. Just Dance, a phenomenon in the gaming world. A party starter, a skill lesson and a celebration of moving like nobody is watching. Both have transcended generations, staying relevant and real no matter what. More importantly, both are thriving in the modern day. That’s how things like this happen, and it’s something to be incredibly excited about.
So, that’s how we have ended up with a Fall Out Boy song on Just Dance 2024, which will be released on October 24. The song in question is also brand new. It’s “I Am My Own Muse“, taken from the band’s new album So Much (For) Stardust. A dramatic and decadent track that incorporates triumphant horns and devilish pop sensibility to devastating effect, it’s a wonderful addition to the title. And based on the footage released by Just Dance to tease it, the moves that are attached to it are just as wonderful.

With lots of head-spinning build-up through the curious bridges of the song, it’s when the chorus hits that the theatre truly comes out. With the character stamping their feet, playing air guitar and even throwing in a ballet leap, there’s a lot going on. But it shows just how two worlds can cross over and be as successful as it is challenging. It’s an addition to the title, which will excite Fall Out Boy fans as much as it may introduce those who aren’t familiar to them. Everybody is a winner, and that feels good.
