Dave Grohl Joins boygenius To Perform “Satanist” On Halloween

Everyone loves when a surprise guest jumps out during a live performance and last night we got an absolutely iconic collaboration. Dave Grohl, famous for his work in both Foo Fighters and Nirvana, joined boygenius at the Hollywood Bowl on Halloween to bring fans a special live performance of their song, “Satanist“.

Grohl was dressed in corspe make-up for the holiday, while Phoebe Bridgers, Julien Baker, and Lucy Dacus from boygenius were sporting various religious attire. Don’t worry, they also wore their famous school-boy outfits as well. Many fans were able to capture the moment on their phones, check out this clip filmed by TikTok user @mattyhealysmells (lol).

Foo Fighters released a brand new album But Here We Are in June of this year. They were the musical guest last weekend on NBC’s Saturday Night Live, performing their songs “Rescued” and “The Glass” featuring H.E.R. on vocals and guitar. Viewers even saw Grohl make a few cameo appearances in certain comedy skits including one where a woman is on the verge of giving birth on a plane, and a pre-recorded musical bit called “lake beach”. boygenius released their highly-praised sophomore album the record earlier this year, boasting hits like “Not Strong Enough“, “Emily I’m Sorry“, and “Cool About It.” They’ve managed to stay extra busy, with a full tour of the US and wrapping up the year with an EP release titled, the rest that dropped on October 13th. boygenius shared an absolutely gut-wrenching music video for “Cool About It” which features an animated tale of a dog and it’s toy.
