Making their debut with Tooth & Nail Records/Solid State Records, Colorblind dropped their latest single and music video, “Needle Eye.”

The band first began teasing fans about the release on Instagram with various sound clips and images from the music video shoot. A day before the release, they announced the beginning of their “dreamcore season,” including a segment of the track featuring a part of the chorus.

“‘Needle Eye’ is the awareness that we have adopted destructive behaviors that were used against us in past relationships, causing us to harm the ones we love,” the band says. “There is no such thing as love without damage. The decision to break inter-relational cycles requires us to take a raw and honest look at ourselves. It is the choice to take the mirror we use to deflect and turn it toward ourselves.”

Shot by Oswaldo Cepeda, the music video features singer Travis Mosely stuck in a dream-like sequence of screens. Known for their explosive choruses and intricate dynamics, the group enters their next chapter focused on exploration.

“We’ve been wrestling with who we want to be sonically because we have a huge array of things we want to do,” Moseley states. “How do we condense all of those things down into one sound? We don’t even know who we’re supposed to be, and that’s the fun of it.”
