Alongside the announcement of the upcoming deluxe edition of Shame On Me, Catch Your Breath also released a new emotional track from the album, “Ghost Inside The Shell.”
The track is Catch Your Breath’s second release since their debut LP Shame On Me, and follows “Dial Tone (Redial)” and “Perfect World,” featuring Ryan Oakes. Speaking about the track, Josh Mowery says it was a reflection of the hardships people face and how they can feel inescapable.
“‘Ghost Inside The Shell’ is a song about life’s struggles catching up to you,” Mowery says. “You aren’t sure where things went wrong or why they never seem to work out, but you are at the end of your rope and need an escape.”

Beginning with heavy guitar riffs punctured by soft vocalizations, the track flows into a swaying chorus. “Lately I’ve been getting tired of fighting/I’m losing every battle on my own/Have I become my own worst enemy?/There’s something underneath I’ll never see.” The group takes you through an emotional second verse before eventually hitting listeners with a snarling bridge that encompasses all the frustration that comes with a hopeless situation.

The deluxe edition of Shame On Me drops September 27 via Thriller Records. Catch Your Breath will support Dayseeker with Alpha Wolf and Kingdom Of Giants on tour this fall.
