Bloc Party Know How To Embrace The “High Life”

Image via Spotify

Even after all of this time, Bloc Party still manages to bring the heat on every release. Today, they have released their new scorcher, “High Life.” Bloc Party began teasing new music earlier this month, and this new release is almost too good to be true. “High Life” is all about living and thriving in the honeymoon stage with a new partner. It makes you want to embrace life and live in the moment.

The song is cheeky, flirty, and will make you feel a sense of freedom. With linear rhythmic percussion and jangly upbeat guitars you will feel like you’re dancing your ass off at Coachella. The song offers themes of empowerment and celebration for love. This is the first new music we have heard from the group since their full-length album, Alpha Games, which was released in April 2022.

There is no indication as to whether or not “High Life” is part of an upcoming LP or EP, but we are on the edge of our seats, waiting to find out. Catch Bloc Party supporting Paramore in their upcoming North America tour starting in May. Meanwhile, we’ll be waiting for them to drop more music.
