blink-182 Drop The Saddest Song Of Their Career

Twenty years is a long time to be a band. It is no surprise that there would be an incredible amount of ups and downs along the way. From success and friendship, to illness and near-death experiences, life threw a lot at blink-182. Today, the iconic pop-punk trio has returned, in their original formation, to give us a brand new song and music video. “ONE MORE TIME” is crafted from the best parts of blink-182. Mark Hoppus, Travis Barker, and Tom DeLonge ARE blink-182. This song serves as an emotionally charged recollection of everything that makes them special, for fans of course, but also for themselves.

Tom DeLonge begins the song with, ” Strangers, from strangers into brothers / From brothers into strangers once again / We saw the whole world / But I couldn’t see the meaning / I couldn’t even recognize my friends.” We watched this band go from an idea formed somewhere in a basement or garage, to one of the biggest punk bands in the world. It felt amazing for us to witness, can you imagine how it felt for the band themselves?

Then there was the devestation of their separation. Again, it broke our hearts, but we were on the outside. What blink-182 had together was a once-in-a-lifetime bond and driving force. It took a lot of turmoil to recognize the importance of that relationship for the band, but now here they are. They have finally been able to put aside their differences and come out on the other side, together. “And I know that next time, ain’t always gonna happen / I gotta say, “I love you” while we’re here”.

Watch the incredibly beautiful video below and see if you can spot all of the nods to their past and memories made along the way.

THAT’S NOT THE ONLY THING THAT HAPPENED TODAY!!!! blink-182 decided to drop ANOTHER surprise song along with “ONE MORE TIME”. The b-side track is “MORE THAN YOU KNOW” and we’ve got the official lyric video right here. If the first track was too slow for ya, no worries because “MORE THAN YOU KNOW” is an absolute banger. Check it out!

The band has been answering fans questions via TikTok this week in celebration of the new track dropping. Yesterday, Mark Hoppus revealed his “Mount Rushmore” of blink-182 tracks over their impressive, two-decade long career. Without hesitation, he rapid fire answered with “Feeling This“, “Dammit“, and “What’s My Age Again?“. He then paused, before adding the new song, “ONE MORE TIME” to the list. It is clear this song means the world to the trio, already placing it alongside songs that stand as monumental moments in their time together. Their new album, ONE MORE TIME… drops October 20th. See the album art and track listing below.
