Andrew McMahon, lead vocalist of Something Corporate, is about to be one very busy singer. According to a show poster seen by idobi Radio’s Patrick Walford of Rock The Walls at the House Of Blues, Something Corporate, Jack’s Mannequin, and Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness will be playing a weekend full of shows together in 2024.
Fingers crossed that Something Corporate‘s When We Were Young Fest sets on October 21-22 will yield more details about what to expect. Basically, fans of McMahon‘s career since the beginning will need to see him in all of his vocal, genre-defying glory.
More on Something Corporate:
It’s been an absolute joy to have Something Corporate back and doing what they do best. Following their hiatus in 2010, the band returned sporadically over the last decade, mainly at very special events. In 2016, during the Seventh Annual Dear Jack Benefit, the band reunited to perform two songs, “Konstantine” and “Hurricane.” Then, in 2022, at the final date of the Andrew McMahon In The Wilderness Hello Gone Days Tour, they reunited again for a five-song set. This show also served as a 40th birthday party for vocalist Andrew McMahon.
In many ways, this was the catalyst for Something Corporate to return in the manner that they have now. McMahon had this to say about it ahead of this weekend’s events, “When we got back together for my birthday show, everything just clicked, and we knew it was time. “We’re all so excited to play these songs again and to share a stage together. I think it’s going to be a cathartic weekend for all of us.”
