Singer-songwriter American Teeth, aka Elisha Noll, is back with his new EP A Wake alongside a new music video for “Sand Dollars.”

“I wrote this song about a day or two after my dad died, when I was walking on the beach and stepped onto the sand to find thousands of sand dollars sprawled across the beach,” Noll says. “It was the first time I connected an event with my dad after he died, and gave me hope that he was still with me.”

On his social media, Noll shared a gorgeous, bittersweet video listening to a recording of his late father’s voice interspersed with family home videos. Even Noll’s website has several vignettes of life captured on old-school video. Additionally, the American Teeth website is asking visitors to share memories about people they’ve lost. You can share yours here.

On Instagram, he also noted, “My EP ‘A Wake’ is out now! It’s a heavy one. Working on it the past year has changed me as a person, and the process of creating it has been so rewarding. Thank you for sticking with me over the last year while I took time to put this together in a way that felt right & thank you to my creative collaborators and friends who made this what it is. I hope you love it.”
