In case you were living under a rock, the Billboard Music Awards happened last night. Let’s be honest, the majority of us would rather DVR awards shows so we can watch in fast-forward just to see the performances (plus, watching artists walk up to the stage in 32x speed is kinda hilarious). The tributes section of Sunday’s performances received mixed reactions on the blogosphere however (maybe even more so than what everyone was wearing–who’d have thought?). Geek Girl Riot’s Day Al-Mohamed had a few words to say about the Prince tribute by Madonna and Stevie Wonder, including some insight into Madonna’s history with the sadly departed legend.
