Hands up, who knew Supergirl wasn’t always so super? In another clip from idobi’s new Geek Girl Riot team, Day Al-Mohamed brings us a Sixty-Second Secret, all about the original appearance of Supergirl. Turns out the OG comic book character wasn’t quite what we’ve all come to know and love. Check out the clip to hear all about the little-known “pilot” version of Supergirl below!
We’re glad to know the creative powers that be changed their mind about Supergirl and females everywhere got another superhero to look up to (both in the comics and onscreen–we can’t wait to see CBS’ Supergirl crossover episode with The Flash on March 28th! See the promo poster below). Now, if Day’s clip inspired you to kick Monday’s ass and be your own superhero, here’s a song she recommends by Havana Brown to soundtrack said ass-kicking, which is all about being a “Warrior”, much like today’s Supergirl.
