Sweden’s premier emo band, Tribe Friday, is bringing their sophomore album, Hemma, to every alternative fan who needs to feel a little closer to places that shaped them. In fact, “hemma” in Swedish translates directly to “home.” Noah Deutschmann (vocals/guitar), Zack Liljeberg (drums), Isak Gunnarsson (guitar), and Robin Hanberger Pérez (bass) all confronted how this word has morphed with maturity. Following up their shimmering and sonically sweet debut, the quartet are tuning into their true-to-from emo roots, pulling back the bright instrumentals slightly, but not sacrificing their signature ethereal vocal styling. With singles preceding Hemma such as “Swimsuit” and “Day… Read more »
Self confessed HUGE Star Wars fans Wheatus don’t like the title of the next Star Wars movie “Attack of the Clones”. Speaking with entaine.com’s Heiko Schoenborn Brendon Brown says “I like The Phantom Menace, I don’t like Attack of the Clones. It makes it sound like Attack of the Killer Tomatoes. Like a B grade horror movie. It’s probably going to be a great story and great effects. All the Storm Troopers are clones underneath their helmets. The Emperor in The Phantom Menace used robots but they weren’t reliable, so he had to experiment with Clones. That’s where the Clone… Read more »

NOAHFINNCE weaves a spellbinding narrative in his latest music video for “SCUMBAG,” drawing inspiration from the enchanting world of Harry Potter. The alt-artist, who initially dropped the track in October, uses this magical realm to shed light on issues of transphobia and confront TERFs (trans-exclusionary radical feminists). Evoking the nostalgia of J.K. Rowling‘s iconic book series and the subsequent film adaptations that captivated audiences in the late ’90s and early/mid-2000s, NOAHFINNCE transforms the familiar wizarding world into a canvas for his powerful message. Despite the enchantment of Harry Potter, recent statements from Rowling have shifted the narrative, prompting discussions about… Read more »
Cassadee Pope‘s “Wasting All These Tears” is getting the Taylor Swift and Demi Lovato re-record treatment. The former Hey Monday singer just released “Wasting All These Tears (Cassadee’s Version),” giving a rock rewrite to her 2013 country track. Pope traded in twangy acoustic guitar strums for pulsing drums and basslines, though her voice is just as powerful as ever with awe-inducing belts across both versions. Today, she also released a new music video in tandem with the reinvented solo song. The video sees Pope with strawberry blonde hair, decked out in all black singing in front of a gorgeous moon-beaming… Read more »
