Used record bins are flooded with albums from swaggering British lads whose bands have conquered England and have their eyes set on cracking the States. Not too many of them can claim to have their music used in two of the most popular TV shows in the country before most Americans have ever heard of them, though. Today, we wish a very happy birthday to “Hey There Delilah” by Plain White T’s as the indispensable emo-pop song turns 18 years old. Not only that, but Fearless Records, who released the song on May 9, 2006, is celebrating the 30th anniversary of the label’s inception this year. Over the past three decades, they have been home to some of the scene’s greatest acts, including Movements, Pierce The Veil, I Prevail, Plain White T’s, and more. Following their departure from FEVER 333 in 2022, guitarist Stephen Harrison and drummer Aric Improta are back to share their new project, House Of Protection. “It’s Supposed To Hurt” marks their debut and is produced by ex-Bring Me The Horizon‘s Jordan Fish. Today marks a new era for rock legends Black Veil Brides. Along with dropping a new music video for “Bleeders” and announcing the forthcoming Bleeders EP, the five-piece has officially signed with Spinefarm Records. Phoenix, Arizona’s shoegaze artists Glixen have just wrapped up various tour dates with Softcult, Glitterer, and fish narc, and they are back with a new heavy-hitting single, “lust.” Previously, the band released track, “foreversoon” highlighting the glow of new love. Conversely, “lust” explores new infatuation, a more superficial connection with a new person. Sweet Pill has released their Starchild EP via Hopeless Records. To accompany the four tracks, the act has included a 12-minute music video, which showcases each song as a different segment of the life of a young, feminine character.
