Poison have nixed the final twenty-two dates of their Glam Slam Metal Jam tour after bassist Bobby Dall underwent emergency surgery on his spine. The band was scheduled to play the Little River Rockfest in Minnedosa, Manitoba on August 5th, but instead Dall was rushed to the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha due to back pain that initiated on stage. According to his surgeon, Dall underwent an anterior cervical diskectomy with allograft fusion, a procedure in which a disc is removed from the back to relieve pain. Furnace Fest finally has confirmed dates for fall 2024 with a stacked lineup, and there’s even more to come. Furnace Fest: The End Of An Era is taking place on October 4-6 at Sloss Furnaces National Historic Landmark in Birmingham, Alabama. The full Skate and Surf Festival lineup was announced today with the addition of multiple bands, including Real Friends, Hit the Lights, and Diamond Youth.

When an event has been around for 13 years, it’s usually time to shake things up. And while Ozzfest chose to do that by going free, the Vans Warped tour opted to piece together one of its most diverse rosters to date. The Deftones were forced by their record label, Maverick Records, to remove 49 live bootleg recordings from their website. Singer Chino Moreno told MTV.com, “I think Maverick got mad because they own all that music…it was our idea to put it up there, but I think we were maybe supposed to ask permission or something.” The bootlegs, recorded at various shows in 1992, 1995, and 2000, were available for free downloading at the site, but abruptly disappeared about three weeks ago. The hard partying rocker was enthusiastically playing his anthem “I Get Wet” as the skies opened up and a torrential downpour put an early end to the eighth stop on this year’s Vans Warped Tour.
