It seems Ozzfest, like any good corporation, promotes from within. Former second-stage headliner Rob Zombie will fill the main-stage slot vacated by the untitled Chris Cornell-Rage Against the Machine collaboration, which forfeited the slot after the ex-Soundgarden singer announced he was “no longer moving forward” with the project, according to tour organizers. Although appearing on the larger stage, Zombie will still perform the stripped-down set he planned for the second stage. The move now allows Down – a group composed of Pantera’s Philip Anselmo and members of Eyehategod, Corrosion of Conformity and Crowbar – to headline the second stage, while… Read more »
While the status of the granddaddy of summer package tours – Lollapalooza – is shrouded in mystery, don’t be fooled by a tour with a similar-sounding name. Locobazooka is the one that’s actually happening. Filter, Sevendust, Fu Manchu, Nonpoint, Mushroomhead, Gravity Kills, Reveille and Earshot are set to perform on the summer trek, which begins June 27 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, according to promoters. The music fest will visit a total of 16 smaller markets before wrapping up July 21. Two more bands are expected to be added to the bill, and a full itinerary should surface in the next two… Read more »

They’ll be joined by Drowning Pool and mainstage openers Zakk Wylde’s Black Label Society and Adema. Meanwhile, Rob Zombie, an Ozzfest main stage veteran, will headline the second stage, which this year promises to be larger, with a stripped-down set. A press… Read more »
