Limp Bizkit band members, fans, family members, and the music community at large are mourning the loss of Sam Rivers, who died on October 18. The founding bassist of the band passed away at just 48 years old. New reports reveal that a spokesperson for the St. Johns County, Florida Fire Rescue responded to a call about a “nonresponsive person in cardiac arrest,” per TMZ. Additionally. Today, the rock world is mourning the loss of Sam Rivers, founding bassist of Limp Bizkit, who passed away at just 48 years old. Born on September 2, 1977, Rivers cofounded the band alongside drummer John Otto and lead vocalist Fred Durst in 1994. Rivers featured on all of Limp Bizkit’s six full-length albums, including their 1999 breakout album Significant Other and 2000’s Chocolate Starfish And The Hot Dog Flavored Water, which celebrated its 25th anniversary earlier this week on October 16.
