GoFundMe for victim of Illinois roof collapse at Morbid Angel show massively exceeds goal


Tragedy shook the metal community this past Friday evening when the roof of the Apollo Theatre in Belvidere, IL collapsed during a show. At the time, the venue was hosting Morbid Angel, Revocation, Crypta, and Skeletal Remains for the “United States Tour of Terror.” While the featured acts were between sets, a tornado ripped through the area and consequently, the venue. Following the disaster, more than 40 concert-goers were left injured and one victim tragically passed away. PVRIS Releases Reflective New Single, “Oil & Water”


PVRIS is back with a brightly romantic single, “Oil & Water,” out via Hopeless Records. American Football Announces ‘LP1’ 25th Anniversary Tour


American Football announced their 25th Anniversary Tour for their debut album. This fall, the band will make stops in the U.S., UK, and Europe, including a stint at the recently announced Best Friends Forever Festival in Las Vegas, NV. The Midwest emo staple released LP1 (as fans call it) in 1999. Tony Lovato- Mest


This week I have singer/songwriter from the band Mest, he and I go back over 21 years, I met him for the first time in Texas when I was on a tour in 2002 that an old band of mine had booked themselves, and we met him in the parking lot after we had one of our self booked shows get canceled. We ended up talking and would see each other throughout the years, fast forward time and we became friends and I even got to fill in for Mest at a show in LA. Sufjan Stevens Takes Us To The Ballet With His New Album


Sufjan Stevens has a history of creating ballet scores for choreographer Justin Peck. Now we’re getting our hands on a new album made up of scores from a performance commissioned by the Houston Ballet in 2019. Stevens announced he’ll be dropping the album Reflections on May 19. While the music is written by Stevens, it is performed by pianists Timo Andres and Conor Hanick.  This is Stevens’ second album made up of scores.
