Contrary to speculation, Drowning Pool singer Dave Williams died from natural causes, according to a coroner’s toxicology report. It was concluded last Friday that the 30-year-old singer died from cardiomyopathy, a disease of the heart muscle, the report said. Williams’ condition, concentric left ventricular hypertrophy, prevents blood flow from the left ventricle to the right. Williams was never diagnosed with the disease, the cause of which is unknown. The report also states nasal swabs showed no traces of cocaine and the drug was not found in his system. The Dallas-based Drowning Pool were on tour with Ozzfest when Williams’ body… Read more »

Although it’s still in the very formative stages, the video is expected to provide glimpses into Williams’ life, from his early days spent gigging around the local Dallas rock scene to the dizzying career momentum that came with selling… Read more »

What would you say if someone told you Linda Perry, the unforgettable voice behind 4 Non Blondes’ 1992 hit “What’s Up?,” has become one of the hottest producers in pop music? Perhaps, in her words, “Hey, what’s goin’ on?” It’s a behind-the-boards comeback, that’s what, and all the one-hit wonders are doing it. Find it hard to believe Perry co-wrote and produced several songs on Pink’s Missundaztood, including the title track? Or that she’s behind upcoming projects from Christina Aguilera (see “Christina Aguilera: Not Your Puppet”), Solange Knowles and Courtney Love? Consider that Deep Blue Something’s Todd and Toby Pipes,… Read more »

Such high expectations, however, haven’t made the Dallas quartet forget what landed it a slot on the tour in the first place. “It’s crazy. It’s hard from my perspective to explain [the position we’re in] because I’m in it,” singer Dave Williams said. “We’re just four jackasses from Texas who love to play music. We love doing what we do… Read more »

The jury of nine women and three men deliberated for an hour on Wednesday and less than two hours on Thursday, according to a court clerk at the Los Angeles Superior Court. The parents of Daniel Karven-Veres had sought millions… Read more »
