Dashboard Confessional’s Chris Carrabba Plays “Vindicated” With Son

Dashboard Confessional is currently on a massive tour with Boys Like Girls and Taylor Acorn. Though, on September 21 at the St. Louis stop, a very special guest joined the lineup: Chris Carrabba’s son, Caden. On beloved track “Vindicated,” Caleb came out and performed alongside his dad as the drummer. Carrabba shared, “One of my favorite shows of the tour got even better when my son @caden_carrabba joined us on the drums for Vindicated in St. Louis! You should’ve heard the reaction he got from this audience! This kid is the real thing.” Check out the sweet moment below. Dashboard Confessional has several more tour… Read more »

Dashboard Confessional’s Chris Carrabba Joins Moneen On Stage For “Hands Down”

We sure as hell didn’t want last night to end, as Moneen was joined by Dashboard Confessional’s Chris Carrabba on stage in Toronto, ON, Canada! Welcoming Carrabba to the stage with a hug during the band’s encore, Moneen’s Kenny Bridges joked, “If you got great pals around, you gotta play music with them. I kind of don’t want this night to end, ever. So, Chris, we’re gonna do the 20 minute version of this song.”  As the opening chords of Dashboard Confessional‘s “Hands Down” filled the air, the crowd burst into a cacophony of cheers and applause. Carrabba led the… Read more »

Dashboard Confessional’s Chris Carrabba is Making Wine Now (in a Can)!

Picture this, the year is 2021 (or whatever year we’re allowed to party again), you’re at a Dashboard Confessional concert, the room is crowded and sweaty and instead of drinking the typical PBR tallboy, what you have in your hand is a can of delicious Pinot Noir, or maybe a saucy Rosè. Well, it looks like Dashboard’s frontman Chris Carrabba has teamed up with Nightowl Canning to make that dream a reality. It’s called Canvino.

The Gunz Show – Interview with Chris Carrabba of Twin Forks

One of the inspiring artists for the so-called, “emo,” scene or whatever one may want to call it was obviously Chris Carrabba.   Being a fan of his from the days when he literally used to get booed off stage as he sat up there with an acoustic guitar – pre Swiss Army Romance days, to just the build up of performing on MTV’s Unplugged with R.E.M. to pretty much taking over a whole entire genre of music, Carrabba has done it all.     And we can’t forget Further Seems Forever either. But now he’s in something new and… Read more »

The Gunz Show – Interview with Chris Carrabba

Chris Carrabba is an artist that I grew up seeing play and listening to.   From the early days of Further Seems Forever, to literally him being booed on stage during early Midtown / Dashboard shows, to the Victory Drive Thru Recs. drama to seeing him at the Unplugged performance for MTV.   The guy has seen it all, and continues to pursue music – this time with a different feel that is, Twin Forks.   Definitely check out the interview as it’s one of my favorites.   The guy is genuine, which is rare these days in the industry.

Forget That New Dashboard Album – Carrabba's Already Written A Better One

PARK CITY, Utah – Deciding to shelve an album is never easy, but it helps when writing another one only takes a month. “I wrote a record and I didn’t like it so much,” Dashboard Confessional singer Chris Carrabba said recently. “It didn’t feel like the right songs for where I’m at in my life right now, so I started again about four weeks ago. Now I’ve got another one and I like it a lot – I can talk about these stories truthfully for the next two years. I didn’t think the last batch would mean something to me… Read more »

Forget about Mariah Carey, Neck Deep are officially defrosting as we draw closer to December and the holiday season. While we’re all preparing to listen to the THREE versions of Neck Deep’s “December” (featuring blink-182’s Mark Hoppus and Dashboard Confessional’s Chris Carrabba, respectively) on an endless loop during the titular month, we’ve got a new cover of the track to add into rotation. Illuminati Hotties, led by the enigmatic Sarah Tuzdin, has launched their indie pop cover of “December” for the Hopeless Records Hopelessly Devoted To You compilation album.  Opening through an understated tonality of acoustic guitars, Tudzin’s emotional delivery… Read more »

Boys Like Girls and Dashboard Confessional Join Forces On “Watch The Fire”

While on tour together, Dashboard Confessional and Boys Like Girls have joined forces for the wistful and cathartic “Watch The Fire.”  The track opens with a sweeping orchestral intro, setting a cinematic tone before Chris Carrabba’s intimate vocals cut through the lush strings with raw emotion. As the instrumentation builds, Carrabba’s voice is met by Martin Johnson’s silky, soaring delivery, adding a rich layer of nostalgia and creating a powerful cocktail of sentiment and sound. “Martin and I had bonded over some horrific accidents we’d had and about the recoveries that we had both worked our way through,” Carrabba shares.… Read more »
