Alien Ant Farm Guitarists Leaves And Is Immediately Replaced

When the member of a band leaves the group, it’s almost comparable to a divorce. But what happens when the musician’s replacement is immediate? Would that be comparable to an affair? Well, this would seem to be the case forAlien Ant Farm whose guitarist Terry Corso quit due to “irreconcilable differences.” According to a statement on the band’s website, the band members planned the departure carefully so that no dates on their current U.S. tour with 311 would have to be missed. The band has almost immediately introduced a substitute guitarist, Victor Camacho, who played his first show with the… Read more »

Alien Ant Farm To Make Concert Comeback After Bus Accident

Alien Ant Farm will take the stage Saturday for the first time since a bus accident in May left singer Dryden Mitchell with a broken back and injured the rest of his bandmates. The group will perform at the House of Blues in West Hollywood, California, as part of manufacturer Drum Workshop’s annual Drum Day L.A. benefit. Mitchell said the set won’t be a typical Alien Ant Farm show, since it’s really drummer Mike Cosgrove’s day in the spotlight, so they’ll likely jam and play songs that contain challenging time signatures. Although he made a surprise appearance with 311 on… Read more »

“I’m getting better each week,” says Alien Ant Farm frontman Dryden Mitchell, in his first interview since a May bus crash that broke his neck, killed the driver, and injured the band and six crew members. “People kept telling me everything was going to be OK, but I could feel it in the doctors’ voices that it wasn’t for sure. I broke my C-2 – Christopher Reeve broke the same one. And my bone flicked into my spinal cord. That’s not good.” It took the fusing of two vertebrae, massive rehab and about three months in a halo brace with… Read more »
