As Internet reports suggested, Pearl Jam was indeed recording a Target commercial under the direction of Cameron Crowe last week at Seattle’s Showbox theater. But there is more to the story than an exclusive retail relationship. Pearl Jam's Eddie Vedder touring in June


Pearl Jam frontman Eddie Vedder is hitting the road in June, lining up solo shows in six southern and eastern cities as well as three concerts in Hawaii. The 14-date trek starts June 8th in Albany, New York, and hits theaters in Baltimore, Philadelphia, Nashville, Memphis and Atlanta before wrapping up with shows in Maui and Honolulu from June 29th through July 2nd. AT&T censors Pearl Jam's anti-Bush lyrics


By Pearl Jam fans and Internet watchdogs were up in arms Thursday after it was revealed that AT&T Inc. censored portions of the rock band’s live concert cybercast on Sunday. While performing “Daughter” during the annual Lollapalooza festival in Chicago, the band segued into a portion of Pink Floyd’s “Another Brick in the Wall,” during which frontman Eddie Vedder sang, “George Bush, leave this world alone” and “George Bush, find yourself another home.” Those lyrics were missing from the broadcast. Pearl Jam covering Who, Young on fan club single


Pearl Jam’s annual holiday single for members of its Ten Club fan organization will feature a pair of classic rock covers: the Who’s “Love Reign O’er Me” and Neil Young’s “Rockin’ in the Free World.” The Who cover appears in the Adam Sandler/Don Cheadle film “Reign Over Me,” which opens March 9 in North American theaters. The Young track was recorded at the Make Poverty History concert in Melbourne, Australia, last November with U2’s Bono and the Edge guesting. Peter Frampton Showing Pearl Jam the Way


Los Angeles – Rocker Peter Frampton is planning to record a track with Pearl Jam for his upcoming album of instrumentals, he said on Wednesday. In an interview with former Sex Pistols guitarist Steve Jones on his Los Angeles-based radio show, Jonesy’s Jukebox, Frampton said he planned to fly up to Seattle the following day to reunite with the band. Pearl Jam Members Rock for Charity in Seattle


Pearl Jam’s Eddie Vedder played a surprise five-song solo set in Seattle Saturday as part of a benefit concert anchored by the rock group’s guitarist, Mike McCready. The concert, at the Showbox club, raised about $16,000 for the local chapter of the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of America. McCready, who went public last year about his battle with Crohn’s, rounded up four friends for a set of UFO and Aerosmith covers.
