The Academy Is… just kicked off the second leg of their Almost Here anniversary tour, and they brought out a special guest while in Atlanta at Buckhead Theatre. Say Anything vocalist Max Bemis popped onstage to sing “About A Girl” alongside William Beckett. This isn’t the only exciting recent The Academy Is… crossover event. Say Anything is a band that you can’t appropriately compare to any other band. Perhaps you could attempt to use metrics like ticket sales or song charting, but certainly not in any tangible sense of emotion, delivery, or downright weirdness. When We Were Young Fest was packed with incredible acts this year, both legendary and brand new. However, there was one band that I was most excited to see, hands down.
