Earlier this year, the Kathleen Hanna-led Le Tigre announced their first tour in 18 years. Last August, the band reunited for their first show in over a decade at This Ain’t No Picnic Festival and performed a massive 16-track set. Pearl Jam’s Eddie Vedder is bringing back the annual Ohana Festival this fall to Dana Point, CA, and he’s bringing some renowned friends with him this year. Returning to California from Sept. 29-Oct. 1 at Doheny State Beach, the latest installment features Vedder headlining alongside The Killers, Haim, The Chicks, Foo Fighters, and Pretenders. Spread across 3 days this fall, Ohana Festival will also feature performances from Japanese Breakfast, Suki Waterhouse (who recently starred in ‘Daisy Jones and The Six’ as keyboardist Karen Sirko), Amos Lee, and plenty more. The colors were a bit faded, but the design of Lawrence Ori’s only tattoo was still visible. He couldn’t raise his arm proudly to show you anymore, but you could still see the Aerosmith logo there on his bicep.
It’s not just the tattoo. Aerosmith weaved its way through Ori’s life in both obvious and subtle ways. His license plate read “ROCKN” and his cell phone played the band’s classic “Dream On”.
