In February, an Eminem look-alike dubbed the “Eminem Bank Robber” by police was captured after a string of bank robberies in New Jersey. Batson Children’s Hospital at the University of Mississippi Medical Center, in Jackson. A radio station in the area is holding a contest encouraging listeners to raise the money for the children. *NSYNC singer Lance Bass recently underwent an outpatient “surgical procedure” to correct an irregular heartbeat, his publicist told Reuters on Thursday (May 16). The procedure was performed several weeks ago in order for the singer to be able to pass the intensive training required to become the world’s first pop singer to take a Russian Soyuz rocket to the International Space Station. The surgery was an outpatient procedure and Bass is doing well. Backstreet Boy Kevin Richardson and *NSYNC’s Lance Bass were among approximately 100 celebrities and everyday heroes that carried the Salt Lake 2002 Olympic torch as it made its way through downtown Los Angeles on Tuesday (January 15). Bass used the torch to ignite a cauldron on the back of a pickup truck. The truck carried the flame from Orange County city Costa Mesa, approximately 50 miles south of Los Angeles, to L.A.’s Olvera Street, where runners resumed the relay.
