Ahead of their nearly sold-out run throughout the UK and Europe, Sydney, Australia’s Melrose Avenue shared their new track, “Black Heart,” featuring hip-hop artist Ekoh. Previously, the rising punk/metal act and recent Hopeless Records signees released singles “Body Bag” and “Reflections.”
Vocalist Vlado Saric shares of the track, “I was once in a situationship with someone who seemed really awesome, but as things unraveled, so did she. ‘Black Heart’ is a song about seeing someone for who they really are.”

“Black Heart” Lyrics:
Gave up tonight
‘Cause I am so sick of fighting and inside my mind
Just can’t get over you
Wasting my time to try
To pick up the pieces and pull your life together
But it’s too late for you, it’s too late for you
Looking back, I should have seen it
How you’ve been playing me right from the start
Left me bruised and defeated
How could you watch me as I came undone?
From your black heart
Yeah, this apartment’s feeling more like a morgue
Every time I look around, I see the death of us, just something to mourn
I need to leave to save myself but I’m torn
I didn’t make it through these waves barely breathing just to die on the shore
But the deeper I go, the darker it gets
The better the drug the harder to quit
The blacker the heart, the better the sex
I’ve seen all your lies but still can’t admit
I played the game so I’m the one who’s to blame
Looking back, I should have seen it
How you’ve been playing me right from the start
Left me bruised and defeated
How could you watch me as I came undone?
From your black heart
But the deeper I go, the darker it gets
The better the drug, the harder to quit
The blacker the heart, the better the sex
I played the game so I’m the one who’s to blame
Looking back, I should have seen it
How you’ve been playing me right from the start
Left me bruised and defeated
How could you watch me as I came undone?
From your black heart
