First Listen: Enter “The Woods” with Presley Tennant’s New Track

It’s been a good few years for the new rising star of IMCG Productions/Shi Records, Presley Tennant, especially when it comes to live shows. Her sweet pop sound took her to stages like Staples Center and VidCon 2016, and we’re guessing 2018 will be even bigger for the dynamic artist.

Today, her sound is bringing her to idobi.com, where you can see her striking new video for “The Woods” exclusively. The soft and elegant song serves as an introduction to the rising star, and with her breathtaking voice, we’re excited to see what’s next.

“‘The Woods’ is a song I hold very dear to me. While I know how I feel about it, sometimes it stumps me on how to explain it in words. It’s a metaphorical story of me as little red riding hood and the woods represents a place of the unknown and unpredictable. I’m trying to make it in the world and the wolf or creatures as stated in my song are the evil people in the world with selfish intentions; while they seem so big they are actually really small. It’s about a never ending fight between good and evil, the story of conquering my fears and staying on my path to handle the the things that try to tear me down. However, with everything trying to break me down, I’m getting stronger as I keep moving down the path while temptation is coming at me. In life everyone will be approached by some sort of evil or unknown, and it’s our decision to choose to be apart of it or not. Not everyone has the best intentions at heart and it’s up to us to push through it. I choose to leave them behind…they can follow and chase but will never take the lead in my life. I’m in control of what path and destiny I choose to take and not the others.”
